Swedish MIL-TEC alcohol burner - overview
Modeled after the military portable stove, which was part of the Swedish army's SHAK M-39 kit (attached to the army bowler hat). Purpose: quick cooking of hot food in the field. The first such burners were produced under the famous Trangia brand (Tranzhia) - starting in 1925.
Today it is one of theth popular models of spirit lamps among survivalists, tourists, hunters, fishermen.
Runs on liquid fuel containing at least 70% alcohol. Ordinary technical or medical alcohol, gasoline, etc. will do.

The Mil-Tec version of the alcohol lamp is slightly smaller and lighter than the original, but the design repeats quite accurately. It has a round shape, convenient for transportation. Consists of two parts:
- The chamber where the fuel is poured -from 50 to 100 ml. It is not recommended to fill to the very top, so as not to spill. One dressing is usually enough to boil 0.5 liters of water or cook porridge, pasta.
Small holes (nozzles) are made in the neck through which the flame will exit.
- A leak-tight screw cap with a thick rubber seal that screws onto the neck. If the entire supply of fuel is not used, it will protect it from leakage during transportation, and will also slow down evaporation (at leastat least for a few hours or a day).
Attention! Screw on the lid only when the spirit lamp is completely cool. Otherwise, the rubber ring will melt.
Note that the original also has a third part - a flame regulator, but this replica does not provide it.
