1. How to properly care for weapons?

Firearms, gas, throwing and sports (airsoft, etc.) weapons must be thoroughly cleaned and lubricated without fail after firing.
Dirt in the barrel of an airsoft gun slows down the speed of the ball in the barrel, reducing the accuracy and energy of the shot.
Throwing weapons (crossbows), due to the constant friction of parts, need care every 200-300 shots.
In firearms, it is especially necessary to carefully remove carbon deposits from gunpowder in the chamber and bore. Preventive cleaning and lubrication is carried out every quarter (even when stored without use).
Pneumatics also need external cleaning and lubrication after firing. You can clean the internal parts every 150-250 shots (depending on the type). When firing airguns, lead settles inside the barrel bore, resulting in the diameter of the muzzle hole becoming a few microns smaller with each shot. Thus, if you do not regularly clean the internal pneumatics, then the speed of the bullet drops. If the barrel is very dirty, the cartridge may even get stuck in the barrel.

3. Reopening
Removal of factory preservative lubricant. Large fragments are removed with rags or special napkins for weapon care . The remaining old preservative grease is quickly and effectively removed by the Degreaser . The solution is applied with gloves only on metal parts. After the preservative is completely removed, the weapon is wiped dry with a lint-free cloth (microfiber) and proceed to lubrication.
4. Lubricant
It is necessary to protect against corrosion and facilitate friction of moving parts of the mechanism.
4.1. Lubricants
Capercaillie oil for pneumatic weapons meets all requirements for lubrication of external parts and can be used on wooden, leather, synthetic surfaces.
Friction Relief Lubricant (internal) cannot contain oxidizing agents, thicken in air. By consistency, it should be more liquid than a preservative.
For complete lubrication of metal parts of any type of weapon , neutral gun oil "Capercaillie" is used.
Impregnation and restoration of wooden parts is best done with vegetable oils. Linseed oil is perfect.
Leather parts are recommended to be lubricated with special products containing wax.
Lubrication of firearms, gas and weapons chambered for Flaubert isa universal gun oil RZH . Experienced users recommend using it only in case of constant use of weapons.
Lubrication in warm weather is possible with VO Summer Oil , which does not run at high temperatures and is used on all types of weapons. In frosty weather, it is better to use special defrosters without grease and sulfur (they are aggressive to metal) or winter oils (they do not freeze at sub-zero temperatures).
Airsoft and throwing weapons (crossbows) are lubricated only with silicone-based products. The string and cables of the crossbow are smeared with special waxes that do not contain paraffin.
5. Cleaning
It is used to protect against corrosion and increase the service life of weapons. For this you should:
- in a timely manner to remove the manifested lead (melchiorization or copper plating) from the bore, powder deposits and combustion products in Flaubert's firearms, gas and weapons;
- clean sand and dust;
- clean up old grease.
5.1. Cleaning accessories
The ramrod is the main item for cleaning weapons. It is a metal rod (aluminum or duralumin) with a wide handle. It can be collapsible, solid and in the form of a cord (broaching). To the end of the ramrod, nozzles (vishers and brushes) are screwed for cleaning.
The rod can be covered with plastic or passed through a wooden tube.

The ramrod is used for both smoothbore and rifled weapons. According to the application, only the nozzles differ.
Ruffs - brushes for cleaning the bore. They can be a separate device, or be a ramrod nozzle.

- brass or copper - cleaning from the appearance of lead and copper (in pneumatics);

Ruffs need regular flushing with a degreaser (to remove thickened grease with dirt).
Patch (translated from English. patch) - fabric (wool, flannel, felt) patches of square shape, the size depends on the caliber. It is used as a nozzle on a visher for cleaning internal mechanisms.
Tampons are multi-use and disposable. They are put on directly on the ramrod. Remove oil and chemical residues after cleaning. 
Do not use with solvents designed to remove plastic residues.
Wipes are used for cleaning and lubricating the external parts of the weapon. They are made mainly from lint-free materials.
Vishera - metal elongated loops of a flat shape. Patches are passed through them to remove excess lubricant during internal cleaning.
Puff - a soft synthetic brush, convenient when washing trunks with products that do not contain oils. 
It is not recommended to use for applying lubricant, as there is a pile on the walls of the channel.

5.2. Chemical cleaners
The composition of the alkaline "Capercaillie" and other alkali-based solutions are an integral part of cleaning the bore of a firearm (the solution is applied for 10-15 minutes, and then wiped thoroughly).
The alkali included in these products neutralizes the effect of traces of gunpowder, which form oxides on the metal. If such a composition is not removed soon, the solution will cause corrosion. Alkali-based products can be used to clean Flaubert's weapons (to remove traces of combustion products). At the same time, the application time of the composition is sharply reduced - 1-2 minutes maximum.
It is important to remember that solutions with alkali cannot be used to care for pneumatics.
After you have wiped dry the alkali from the internal mechanisms of the firearm or have just begun to clean the internal pneumatics, you need to apply Barrel Cleaning Foam .
External cleaning is best done with universal products that will not harm wood, leather and other surfaces.
6. Conservation
The process of preparing for long-term storage without use. Thorough cleaning is required before canning.
Preservative lubricant should be:
- sticky and thick, so as not to drain from the weapon in the warm season;
- have a neutral reaction with the metal (without acid or alkali).
