The composition of the gas cylinder Kobra-1N and the principle of its operation

Aerosol can Kobra-1N (45 grams), manufactured by the Laboratory of Applied Chemistry, contains a 0.2% solution of dibenzoxazepine (CR). In Ukraine, this irritating substance, better known as ALGOGEN, is approved for use. In order to decontaminate offenders, gas cartridges based on it are often used by police officers. In the United States, Great Britain, the Russian Federation and in many other countries, the CR substance has replaced the "lilac gas" (CS), whichIt contains toxins.
Practice has shown that algogen has a very strong effect on a person (his skin, respiratory tract and eyes), but does not cause irreversible harm to health. Even in case of an overdose, which is very likely in an emergency! In this regard, the named drug is recognized as the safest among other tear gases.

Cobra-1N is very easy to use. To use it, special efforts and skills are not required. Need tojust rip off the safety valve and press the trigger with your thumb. It is advisable to remove the cylinder in advance, i.e. before entering the danger zone. In the event of an attack, it should be directed directly at the face of the offender.
Time it takes to spray the content (continuous): about 9 seconds. At air temperatures up to +50 degrees, the range corresponds to approximately 2.2 m. In frost down to -10 degrees, it narrows by almost a meter.

The eyes of a person, when algogen gets into them, begin to bake and tear heavily. There are spasms of the eye muscles and headache. If the gas is inhaled, the burning also passes to the mucous membrane of the nose and mouth, as a result of which it is difficult for the offender to speak. He cannot open his eyes for 11-12 minutes. In the future, these symptomsohms weaken (the offender tries to open his eyes, but tears prevent him from seeing). They will finally pass in about an hour.
Keep in mind that the drug Cobra-1N (ALGOGEN), getting on clothes, leaves stains on it that are difficult to wash. But most importantly - do not allow the substance to get on your skin and eyes. When spraying gas, take into account the direction of the wind and, for safety reasons, cover your nose and mouth with your free hand, close your eyes.
