The described model 2534 MP was developed on the model of a peasant knife popular in the Philippines and Indonesia, called karambit (or karambit). Its characteristic features: a concave blade with a sharpening on the inside of the blade and a metal ring on the handle, which is necessary for firmly fixing the tool in the palm of your hand.
The reverse grip of the knife is considered traditional, in which the index finger (less often the middle or little finger) is threaded through the ring. This detail is intentionallyor wide - so that you can work with karambit in gloves.
The high-tech 440 C series steel, which served as the basis for the blade, tolerates loads well and resists corrosion. Grand Way tourist knife will keep sharpening for a long time.
The handle is made of micarta, a composite material that includes layers of fabric, paper, fiberglass and other polymeric substances. Such a design gives the tool a number of advantages:
