This model is from an old German army uniform used on patrol. Today, such trousers have fallen out of use by the military, but are actively purchased by civilians for everyday wear, outdoor recreation and sports.
Bundeswehr pants are sewn from dense cotton material of a special weavei, known as moleskin. This fabric, which can withstand frequent friction and heavy loads, is usually used to make overalls for workers, sports uniforms and even shoes.
