What is the Tasco 6x18-mono-T monocular?
In my own wayfunctionally, this small and very light device is very similar to binoculars (or rather, half of it). It contains:
• lens lens - creates an image of an object that is far away;
• inverting system – reverses the image formed by the lens;
• eyepiece – allows the eye to view the image formed by the lens and the inverting system.
The first number in the name of the monocular "6x18-mono-T" indicates the magnification. It becomes six timeslarger object when observing it through the device. Such an indicator is considered average. It has its own advantage: the shaking of the hand in which the user holds the optical device has almost no effect on image quality.
The Tasco monocular with an exit pupil diameter of 3 mm belongs to the category of fast aperture systems. It can only be observed during the day.
Due to the fact that a Ruf-prism is used, the axes of the eyepiece and objective coincide. Due to this, its dimensions and weight are reduced.
Special solution applied to the lenses(similar to film), minimizes light reflection.
The optics are made of Bk7 glass. His presence is betrayed by the characteristic shape of the exit pupil - cut off on four sides (and not in the form of a circle).
The eyepiece is equipped with a soft rubber eyecup. It is possible to adjust the diopter.
