The hatchet itself is all-metal, youstamped from 420 stainless steel sheet. This stainless steel is well known for its exceptional corrosion resistance, ease of sharpening and ductility. This means that it will not form chips, which is especially useful for a chopping tool.
The hatchet is coated with a black powder coating, which further increases its resistance to corrosion and the appearance of minor mechanical damage such as scratches.
The hatchet handle is formed by winding a black cord around the ax handle. There is a lanyarda hole through which a lanyard from the same cord is passed.
