Tradition knives have a traditional handle shape, as well as a scimitar-shaped blade, and can be used in a variety of situations - from a picnic to hunting. Since 1980, the Tradition collection has been available in twelve sizes, 1-12. Issues 1 and 11 are currently out of production.

In sizes 6-12, the blade locks securely in the open position thanks to the Virobloc® locking system created by Marcel Opinel in 1955.

The knives of this series are equipped with blades made of Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel of excellent quality and exceptional hardness of 57-58 units.c on the Rockwell scale, thereby guaranteeing perfect cutting performance, anti-corrosion protection and easy sharpening.
