Officer's dagger of the Wehrmacht ground forces.
Designed by Berlin-based artist Paul Kasberg. Approved for wearing May 4, 1935. In 1943, due to the not better position of Germany on the fronts, production was discontinued, but the wearing was canceled only on September 5, 1944. A special instruction dated 12/24/1944 ordered officers to wear short-barreled service daggers in place.
