Switchblade knife S-25 with side ejection of the blade is a combination of elegance and functionality. Spear-shaped blade steel - 8Cr13MoV. Hardness 58-59 HRC.
From the tip to the middle of the blade, a false blade stretches along the butt - such a design feature is a reference to the pedigree of such blades, originating from stilettos. There are also protrusions-horns on the blade, which play the role of a small guard and convenient stops for the thumb and forefinger when using the knife in the unfolded state.
The reliable button lock mechanism is responsible for the reliability of fixing the blade. The knife unfolds and closes smoothly - no distortion of the blade in the knife frame. Two PTFE washers are installed on the blade axis.
The ejection button is made almost flush with the plane of the knife handle and even a little “sunk”. This minimizes accidental pressing and triggering of the unfolding mechanism. When open, the knife blocks the same mechanism that opens it. When closing, you must also press the button, folding the blade manuallywow.
The handle of the knife consists of matte gray metal plates with dark wood inserts, which, due to their convexity, increase the convenience of planting the knife in the hand.
The knife does a great job with all simple jobs. Strength work, at the same time, of course, is clearly not his forte. And with all sorts of everyday tasks - cut fruit, open a box - it copes perfectly.
